How Much Support for the Student Should Come From the Teacher?
Instructionist curricula were developed under the behaviorist assumption that children enter school with empty minds. How can we create a culture where learners feel like a learning community? How can we design materials and activities to that keeps students motivated and sustain their engagement? All of those are fair questions. So hes raising some ok questions, is just coming up with terrible conclusions. I mean, yes, they come in knowing some things from their childhood, but how much did they know about history or something? You've got to assume that they don't know anything.
