The Manhattan Project Investigating Groups in Nagasaki

Manhattan Project researchers spent about a month examining the physical damage of the atomic bomb. They determined that while ambient radiation in and around Hiroshima and Nagasaki was elevated, it was still within a safe range. Based on reports they received, General Groves decided to cover up evidence of the so-called atomic plague.
