Adand: Women's attire was very much created to replicate or duplicate men's business attire. For many people of african descent, when we say conform, we mean cover it, which is to straighten it and get rid of any visible evidence of your blackness. But if that is going to make you feel bad about yourse, then maybe that's not the best place for you to be," she says. Adand wants a place in the work force where we are all able to bring whom we identify as to the work force.
