Renee Spateri went missing from Jacob's Ladder reserve on February 14. Her car was found empty with her wallet, iPhone and Valentine's Day card inside. Police conducted land and air searches before calling them off due to darkness. The search resumed the following morning but there was still no sign of Renee. She had expressed suicidal thoughts in the past, but promised she'd never act on them. If she really had taken her own life, something must have happened to trigger such an out-of-character decision.
