When Sophie was two, her parents found out she had a brain tumor. A tumor happens when there's an unusual growth of cells in your body. Tumors that are not cancer are called benign; those that are likely to spread are malignant. Doctors have been keeping a close eye on Sophie ever since she was two. She has had three surgeries over the years and undergone chemotherapy.
