The Runaway Greenhouse Effect on Earth
Neil deGrasse Tyson: If you burned all the fossil fuels on Earth, of course you would make things awful and uninhabitable for humans. In a billion years or so, as the sun warms up, there probably will be a runaway greenhouse effect on Earth like there was on Venus in the past. So if we wait long enough, then the sun will help us do that. "We're going in that direction and it's the wrong direction for us"
