How to Predict Intensity in Trail Running

Do steady state tempo and run intervals. We're talking VO2 max at some point throughout the year. The higher intensity stuff matters because at a certain point you've got to raise the roof before any other adaptations can actually occur. Most ultra marathon runners are intensity adverse. They do very very little intensity. And so you can get some really quick and easy gains and adaptations with some very simple intensity architecture.
