At least one patient a week gets maggot applications in hospital. The tiny little things were nearly a centimetre and they were just like my brother's jar of maggots when he went fishing. But the job they did was just absolutely amazing afterwards. I had infection in my foot, I'm diabetic. I had my little toe in the next toe off and then like a quarter of my foot removed - never thought it would happen to me.
