GLP1 is a hormone that is naturally produced in our body. It slows down how fast our stomach empties and controls hunger and appetite. GLP1 receptor agonists, which are more commonly known as low raglitide and somaglitide, mimic the natural form of GLP1 hormones. So they bind to specific receptors to have the same activity that our native GLP1 hormone has in the body.
