The Rise and Fall of Semiconductor Stock Prices

Semiconductor stocks are enjoying a very strong rally this year. They're up about 80% on a year to date basis through July 21st compared to the S&P 500 index, which is up about 19%. So what is it about Nvidia that is so interesting or special or getting so much market attention? The type of problems that are artificial intelligence percent are more effectively solved with an architecture called parallel computing.
