The Year Signs of the Sword
It's just a talisman to help anybody that. is in danger or wants more power with their weapon. It's not limited to people that was born in 1771 and every seven years after that. So, more likely when Barrett talks about etching a sword with these signs, it's not determined by the birth year of the person doing the etching or using the weapon. Maybe to imbue it with greater power.
