There's an interesting economic lesson here because on the one hand you can point to this and say, well, there's 3,000 people per year and we should do something about it. But everything we do in that direction is going to take resources away from other things, many of which, according to the numbers, are more pressing. I don't recall ever having read a story about somebody who died being impaled by a beach umbrella. But I guess here we are having solved all of the world's problems.
