The Rise and Fall of Hitler
General Eric Lündorf was non-plus when he realized the idea was for Hitler, whom he considered an upstart, to become the leader of Germany. But he disliked the Weimar regime enough that he decided to help anyway. He persuaded Kar, Lassau, and Syser to join Hitler on the stage and express their support for the revolt. After a brief exchange of fire with the police, the conspirators were overwhelmed and most of them captured. This ended what became known as the beer hall push. Ironically, his trial went much better for him than his revolution had.
