The Beatitudes of Jesus Christ

In Exodus 34 verse 6 and 7, we get the seven great attributes of God. And I think the Beatitudes are given an explication of practical teaching about those attributes in interesting ways. Jesus is giving us these Beatitudes to show us in a way what Pope Benedict has said is that sort of veiled interior biography of Jesus, right?
