Chernoble exposed the worst kind of soviet lie to the world. The secret to power is people belie ing in it and respecting it. And once they don't, you don't have any power any more. After watching the show, i'm not sure humans are equipped to move through existence without lying to each other. Slegaso says, with every lie we tell, we incur a debt to the truth. There's a certain amount of lying that seems to be necessary,. or we just won't be able to make it through our day.
