Why Was Rahab's Lie Justified?

Nowhere in the bible does it commend her for lying. She actually breached the ninth commandment, period. Why was abra why was rahab's lie justified? It wasn't. The real story line there is that god saved an outsider. There's definitely some foreshadowing going on of how he would eventually save gentiles and choose to graft them in. But nowhere is her lie justified num three. How is it not partiality for god to only choose israel in the old testament? We need to dial it in a little more.
