The Story of Absalom and David
David gets persuaded to bring Absalom back. Joab probably recognized that here is Aboslam who poses a threat to David. If he stays in Keshe, he can draw people to himself and raise a revolt rebellion against the king. It's likely that Joab orchestrated this thing with the woman of Ticoa to get David to bring Aboslam closer to home so that he could be not as much of a threat which isn't going to work.
