The Mining Industry in the Great Lakes Region
i want to talk about the great lakes region in terms of the mining industry. Could you share more the history of mining interest and the current struggles? i would have hoped that there'd be a greater appreciation for the impact of mining on the communities whose lands are affected by mining. And what i don't stand us it in cases where you'd see an equivalent affect to, say, a christian community,. Would there be as much resistance as the mining company has opposed to the m that this is deeply unjust and unfair and inappropriate? I think we need to reframe our understanding of violence and crime to include those who steer powerful corporations.
