In a liberal democracy, of citizens, there is citizen responsibility for the system to work. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our constitution as a whale goes through our net. Liberal democracy recognizes the dignity of man but also falls because it doesn't respect the fallenness of man,. including leaders who try to possess and wield power for the good.
