The Importance of Picture Lock in Filmmaking

A lot of younger filmmakers don't stay in picture lock, which really fucks up the entire back end process. If I change a cut or if I shift a frame, then suddenly all of the dialogue and stuff that they're working on as they clean it up is out of sync. "I'm trying to get this film out before the fucking writer-strength starts," he says.
