i think there is an analogy one can make between vitnam and afghanistan with that regard, insomuch as in viit nam. For the via nemes, this wasn't a war of international communism. It was a war of national liberation for afghans. So that's an area where there's political overlap, sort of,. onaon a personal note, i very much grew up in the the shadow of the via nom war.
