This is a test called the one is more revolution when, and this happens with visual stimuli as well. There will be one set that's totally silent for a little bit and then one that has a little blip in the middle. So my question to you is which one sounded longer, the first or the second? And because we do this with actual objects and with tones, with sound, this implies that we are treating this silence in the same way that we're treating sounds.
