Is Religion an Inalienable Right?

James Madison's memorial and remonstrance against religious assessments for an explanation because he specifically tells us why religious liberty is inalienable. He defines religion first of all using the, referring back to the Virginia Declaration of Rights as the duty of every man to render to the creator such homage and such only as he believes to be acceptable to him. So if you're an atheist, you may not believe, you may believe you don't owe any duties and that's fine but whatever they happen to be, it is your duty to the creator to practice those.
