Let's do it. Here you go, the ship. Yes. Tip of the day is about a an interesting thing that came up a the people who think that we are wasting our time on this show with what we talk about, eventually need us the most. And so you minto might not believe this, but there are a fair number of people out there that think all this talk about training and diet and supplement stuff is nonsense and it's a waste of time, or worse, a we're all seen as reckless steroid users and god knows what else. Normally, someone that's dedicated to being superhuman, so to speak, in every sense of the word, has little exposure to these people. Why? Who needs em? I means, i look at my circle of friends. I don't have much in common with those people, so why bother? Right? Ah. However, i lived a very, for almost 20 years, i lived a very gind of unique existence. I lived in two distinct worlds, right? One during the day at the insurance factory in my job. And then afterwards, i was going to the gim a very, very hard cort jim, especially when i was younger, in my early mid twenties, and i learned real fast that they those two worlds rarely coexist. Sooner or later, somthin's got a gift. And so as an example, my boss asked me once to stay late, where kind of project, blablabla. I told em, ye, i'm sorry, i can't. I got other plans. And i was intentionally vague, but you kind of look at mes like, what plans? And i said, wellif you if you have to know to night is bench press max night, and i'm going for one of my long term goals. Been working for over a year on this right, 405 pound bench. Never forget it. And just as importantly, it's max night for everyone else in our group, which means we're all counting on each other to be there and for spots, et cetera, et cetera. And you know, the smile came over his face and he said, come on, an he said, you can do that any time. We've got a dead line for this project. And he tried to convince me that they wouldn't miss me in blabla. And and i actually sat down with him and i explained to him. I said, you need to understand something, ah, if i stand these guys up, it's not going to be pretty. You know, they're, they're, they're not going to run to h r to wretch mistera complaint. If you no show them younow, bad things happen. Very, very intense guys. And so he said, ok, go ahead. And from that point forward, in that unit, i was persona non grata at the insurance factory, or at least the part that i was working in. I went from being told, you're going to be the next big thing to, you know, you're a little rough around the edges, you know, vague, really intentionally vague stuff. And double speak, corporate double speak, it's all crap just to take shots at you and pe youll bring you down. Bring you down a whereas before i was getting big performance bonus, it is, no more bonuses, even though i had it, in some cases, exceeded my numbers. I wasn't in sales per sey, but i had numbers to head. And so i sat down on that year's performance review, and the same boss looks to me and he says, you know, it was a tough year for the company, so there's not going to be any increase in your salary, nothing. They apparently thought i was dumb enough to buy that, and that it was just some stupid muscle head. But they learned real fast i wasn't, because i quickly recited the record profits in the hundreds of millions of dollars the company announced at their latest qurterly financial meetingthis guy just sit there, right? I mean, he starts protesting his innocence and saying, jes, there's nothing i can do. You knowit's kind of the big boss. And this guy was what you would call middle management. They had inserted a layer of people in between me now and my real boss, the big boss. And that's usually these guys friends, right? They bring him in, they give him jobs. Those are jobs they give him. So it was his task to tell me, you're not getting anything. So, ah, i actually imemberi looked back at him and i told him, i said, i said, bill, some day you're going to realize that there are things more important than towing the line for the company or your boss. And in believing or not. After that, we actually became good friends. And i think, in a strange way, he respected me for at least seeing that i knew what was going o wasn't some stupid kid tat just came out of college r a. And i knew deep down that some day he would learn that lesson, and he might call me because he gothhe's going to get hit between the eyes some day with what's really important. And it took 15 years, but that call came last week end. This week end, i'm sorry, i got a facebook message asking that i call him.
