Is There Any Incentive to Publish Research Without Review?
The International Biosecurity and Bioseafety Initiative for Science, or IBIS, recently announced its first executive director. The organization is trying to tackle the long-standing conversation around how should funders approach funding of potentially risky research. JLC: There's been some at least as far as academic academics go, I think some fairly intense debates around what should and shouldn't be published. And so it's really important for big journals to be part of that conversation.
