The Mechanism for Codifying Illegal Settlements Into Law

Israel claims that there is no such thing as occupied territories, they're disputed and Israel's claim is superior to them. It also states that only people, one people, has the unique right of self-determination in Israel: the Jewish people. The UN Security Council voted that settlements were illegal, but because the United States prevents implementation, will not allow implementation. So the impunity that Israel enjoys from international law is entirely a result of U.S. protection.
