So in london, there are multiple opera theatres competing with one another to attract the services of the greatest singers and the wealthy entitled of the realm. Becomes like a very important diversion for the highest stratum of society. Sometimes, these chapel singers sort of graduate to the stage where they make huge fortunes. They are making money on a scale impossible except for the wealthiest of landed gentry. And some of them end up owning vast atracts of land, and ye bastically become really powerful aristocrats,. while at the same time owing their importance in society
