The Book of Ecclesiastes Is a Record Rit
The bible is a record of a people striving to live up to the promises that god has made to them. We see their successes, but we also see their failures. And so i think we should be no more disconcerted by the bleakness of ecclesiastes than we are by ino psalm one 37, rit - which is by the waters of babylon. How else can we empathize with the drama of a people who feel their god has abandoned them after centuries of and people of the covennt?
