The Role of NSAIDs in Gosol Syndrome
Study authors concluded that their findings demonstrate for the first time that augmented icosanoid biosynthesis in patients with gosol syndrome is responsive to aspirin and ibuprofen. They suggest NSAIDs, as opposed to corticosteroids, should be the first-line treatment for this syndrome due to their more favorable safety profile. The study furthers the understanding of hematopoietic suppression that takes place in inflammatory conditions.
