Author Nettie Okorafor is the most recent winner of the World Fantasy Award. Her novel Who Fears Death is a grim grand story set in a post-apocalyptic Africa where magic is real. The statuette that's given out at the World Fantasy Awards is a caricature of Lovecraft, created by Macabre artist Gayhan Wilson.
