"I see that the grizzled old veterans are having trouble, but I think that's because there's a lot of ageism in Silicon Valley," he says. "What they're doing is committing the sins that they called out as sins years ago... And they're recapitulating this same crap." The young guys who've been taught how to do interaction design don't know intuitively about what it means to delete a file or change its name on your Macbook Pro. Apple has gone generation upon generation of designer at iPhone and iPad companies without learning these skills from their elders.
