The Role of the Martyr in Borders

The martyr is somebody who seems to have poor boundaries. But then they are especially vulnerable to switching into the aggressive boundary setter that we've been basically referencing throughout this conversation. So in other words, they get to complain about the boundaries being violated. But there's something in us that actually wants it. And as the martyr, we don't complain so much to the person who's violating the boundaries. Because our whole thing is we can't be the saintly one unless we just take it silently. Our suffering is the witness to their guilt.
