The proposition was a good one to reflect where we are now. But delivery just didn't pull that off because it would leave voters only. You didn't see how the country as a whole has now shifted to predominantly remain. So it came off as unbalanced anyway. That's all I can say that's positive. It was quite a good idea. Was the fact that the government wouldn't send it even a junior minister to defend Brexit, really the most telling aspect, the task fell to John Redwood on the night?
