Nigolespi: We need to stop using student debt as the only way that poor people can get ahead in this country. Black families earn just 80 % of what white families with the same level of education do. Women earn just 63 cents on the dollar that is paid to white men with the same degree. And we are in the middle of another crisis where black and brown people are affected disproportionately. The devirner education doesn't actually release many numbers, but as far as we can tell, they are in bankruptcy. They spend thousands of dollars so that a person who owes a couple of thousand, five thousand dollars, ten thousand dollars, does not get that forgiven in bankruptcy because it
