Pattern Recognition
Inlikt you can teach any child to recognize ta tree quite reliably. But up until now, at least, no matter how well you train a computer to recognize tha tree, you can always present it with a fake tree that it will fail to recognize. And so we've never taught a computer yet to recognize patterns in the way that a human can. So it's still an open an question whether that's actually possible. Do you think that this failure of, or hitherto failure, of computers, to achieve pattern recognition might, in a way point that to plato being on to something, or at least hilating a real cognitive problem? Yes, overwhelmingly so.
