There's a section on the left that is talking about the evils of slavery and then in reaction to that there's this crazy faction on the right that is saying it's not enough for us to just not talk about how terrible slavery was we actually now need to put in the curriculum that there were some good things about slavery. I don't think that works the only way to teach people someone is to take away all their freedoms so they have no choice, he says. "I feel like that's what's happened here is these people are so culturally afraid of losing power and dominance that it has completely screwed up their discernment"
