Ruben Rubin was an accountant before he became a commercial director. He met somebody at the accountant who said if you don't know what to do you should go into advertising because there you can do all sorts of stuff, says Rubin. After working on commercials for six months and walking around J-Waltz Thompson's mailing room with John Slaving I eventually got this in pieces to do but it was a trial by fire,. "I would have sifting tears you know because my shot just hadn't worked out in the laboratory" - Rubin.
