Only two months before that, on a rainy monday evening in september 19 83, nuclear war had come closer still. Out of nowhere, out of nowhere, five american missiles had been launched at their russian targets. But his gut instinct told him this was not a real attack and he opted not to esculate the conflict. Instead, he sat tight and bit his nails. And he was right. It was a simple computer error. Once again, the moment of danger passed
