In 1935, a woman in Scotland saw an arm protruding from the stream below. The police discovered 30 packages containing 70 pieces of badly decomposed human body parts. Offenders dismember bodies predominantly for ease of transport and to hide them. "This was pretty gruesome to me," says CNN's John Berman.
