There's a really long tradition of representing, like, basically all media. From the invention of writing to photography to film and enovidio. Like we see here with the haunting tink lik, to basically making a connection between life media and death because it's recording a past. And they keep sort of coming back to that type of thing. I think there's references to post mortem photography in this episode.
