Resilience in the Face of Change
One thing that can really increase our resilience in the face of change is seeking out what we call awe-inspiring experiences. You don't have to be like an astronaut looking down on earth. They can be in really small moments. There was a study showing that when people who were recovering from a surgery were either in a room that faced a small tree versus another group where their window just looked onto a brick wall. Those who were getting access to even this small amount of nature recovered better, had more resilience.
