The Hermeneutic of Suspicion

Joseph Smith wrote that while in the attitude of calling upon the Lord, a pillar of light above the brightness of the sun at noon day came down. That's a nice complete sentence there. And then Frederick G. Williams comes later and does the little care above there and says, you can look at this on Joseph Smith papers. It says kind of interlinearly in the 16th year of my age inFrederick G. Williams handwriting. So not sure what like when he wrote that, did he write that at Joseph Smith's request? Did he infer from earlier on when Joseph said, quote, thus from the age of 12 years to 15, I pondered many things in my heart
