The Three Word Summary, Appreciation, Courtesy and Respect

The three word summary, appreciation, courtesy and respect. So expressing gratitude for what others are doing for you even if it's not perfect. Having the courtesy to be polite, pure and simplen. Don't drag things out. A respect, a matter of honouring the other persons status. How do you balance serving people while still maintaining your own personal integrity? I guess i'm just wanting to hear your perspective.
