The Relationship Between Parents and Children in Chess

The first thing that I include, you know, especially when it's like the first chess lesson for a child is I get some time in that lesson to talk with the parents. A child's vision may not be the same for the parents, right? If parents are spending a few hundred bucks a month for chess lessons and obviously their goal or their vision is for that child to win,. They want to see trophies and things like that. The child maybe is just like, I have an interest in chess, I want to play, I wants to beat my friends at school... And they're willing to say invest in the coach beyond just that coaching lesson. There's very different results from that
