Jed Wohlpah: There's a ton of ways to go about this and as you move along in your training you'll get exposed to a variety of them. Let me give you a summary of the way to dose these medications so succinylcholine and a propofol drip should be dosed based on total body weight opioids are another drug that is often used for hemodynamic stability though it has the downside of causing adrenal suppression. Non-depolarizing neuromuscular blockers like rock uranium, vacuronium and cis-etricurium should be doses based on ideal body weight which only takes into account a patient's height and gender.
