Protests have spread across the tiny island state of bahrain, and they're beginning to shake the government to its very core. At the time, asman darish was a 20 year old university student, she decided to join the protests at pearl roundabout her first time to engage in any kind of politics. She describes how people arrived on their knees and kissed the ground after being forcibly cleared by security forces days earlier. But then there were news coming in saying that armed forces had rolled into soudy barway which links two gulf kingdoms. Some protestors wanted an end to what they saw as chaos; others demanded power leave them without protection.
