When will it start to plateau? And what level will it plateau at? Nobody really knows either of those, you know. How far it will go before it plateauds depends on how deep the technology penetrates. In our paper, for the transition to happen, we have hard to decarbonize sectors like jet flight. So is jet fuel going to come from solar energy? That's not something that happens in ten years, but it happens in more like 20 years.
