Matthew's Body Was Found on a Neighbor's Property

Matthew Pays, 3, was found dead in a septic tank on the property of his neighbor Renaldo Pays. The medical examiner ruled that he had been strangled to death by someone who put him there first. In the late 90s, homicide detectives told Matthew's mother Vernon all read that they had evidence that Renaldo killed his son. They were then sworn to secrecy and have remained tight-lipped ever since. What motive could Renaldo possibly have had to kill his three-year-old son?
