The Panama Canal and the Nina and Pinta

The three replicas of columbus's ships. The nina and the penta immediately are in big trouble. They make it as far as detroit with italians bailing furiously. Eventually, i think, they flop and flounder their way as far as buffalo before realizing that these ships will not make the track. And they head back to chicago.
