I'm not convinced that Putin was being, actually, I thought it possible that elements within the sort of the Yeltsin circle, especially Berizovsky because of his long, old, deep ties with the Chechen underworld. Some of the Chechen Islamist radicals might have had something to do with it, but never saw evidence of it. But then you have to go with Occam's razor at that point, which is these guys were blowing up stuff and so if you take it from there, it's just, you know, unless you want to believe it.
